Caren Steinway

Caren Steinway is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the division and at PolicyLab at CHOP. She currently works on projects involving adolescent reproductive health and examining the challenges surrounding transitioning youth from pediatric to adult health care settings. Previously, Caren was a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment Disabilities (LEND) Fellow at CHOP where she participated in planning and executing psycho-educational programming for adolescents. In addition, she worked collaboratively with CHOP and Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY), a children’s advocacy organization in Philadelphia, to gather information and support for the establishment of a public health insurance program for undocumented children. Her collective experiences have facilitated her interest in improving access to appropriate services and care for marginalized populations. Caren received her Bachelor’s degree from Boston University and her Masters in Social work and Masters in Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.
