Ava Skolnik is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab and the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She has experience in qualitative/quantitative research, policy and advocacy. Ms. Skolnik will be working on projects aimed to improve adolescent sexual and reproductive health outcomes both domestically and abroad. She has previously worked on a study about menstrual hygiene management in Madagascar and on a study about sexual health behaviors of college students in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, she has worked on policy and advocacy about increasing community involvement in the decision making process for hospital mergers and closures, along with working on an advocacy campaign to increase health care access. Ms. Skolnik received her Master of Public Health in Sociomedical Sciences and Health Policy from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
