Andrew Pool

Andrew Pool, MSc, PhD is a Research Associate for The Center for Parent and Teen Communication. Andy holds a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Anthropology from Penn State University, and an M.Sc. in Evolutionary Psychology from the University of Liverpool and a doctorate in Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Temple University. At Temple, he has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Obesity Research and Education, working with families to change their health behaviors and improve their weight outcomes. In addition, he acts as the Social Media Liaison for The Obesity Society, a scholarly organization with over 23,000 followers on social media. Andy has worked in behavioral research for nearly ten years, with a specific focus on public health for the past six years. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the team on conducting research, improving health outcomes, data management and analysis, and effective translation and dissemination of research findings to the general public.
