Alanna Butler is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab and the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Ms. Butler has experience in program coordination, health education and health communication. Ms. Butler works with Dr. Aletha Akers on multiple projects that aim to enhance reproductive health services and outcomes for adolescents in pediatric settings. Prior to joining PolicyLab and CPCE, Ms. Butler coordinated sexual health education programming in schools and community-based settings in Philadelphia, with a focus on LGBTQ and homeless youth. Ms. Butler has also worked on structural interventions for routine HIV testing in federally qualified health centers. She has worked in the HIV/AIDs and reproductive health field internationally and domestically in government, non-profit and research settings. She received her Master’s in Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Communication from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
