Rebecka Peebles

Dr. Peebles is the Co-Medical Director of the Eating Disorder Assessment and Treatment Program at CHOP. Her research interests focus on the health outcomes of disordered eating in adolescents of diverse weight ranges, and how the Internet can be used as a vector to both help and harm young people as they try to approach a healthy weight. She has conducted prior studies on the medical complications of eating disorders in children and adolescents, including research funded by the American Heart Association on binge eating, purging, and cardiovascular risk in adolescents. She was recently awarded a K23 award from NIH, focused on metabolic and body composition changes after weight gain in anorexia nervosa.
